Lives and works in Berlin

The work of Marco Poloni spans cinema, photography, text and installation. Over the past several years, Poloni has been building an index of plots, problems and tropes of the Mediterranean. This archive documents, reformulates and expands a number of geopolitical scripts and anthropological narratives of this area, focusing on relationships between social invisibility and power, subjectivity and ideology, individual action and political change. Poloni is specifically interested in subjects who are made socially invisible by apparatuses of social capture, or who choose to evade social entanglement to attempt to weave new pathways.
