Campagne Première freut sich, die Gruppenausstellung "Hors d'Oeuvre" anzukündigen, mit Werken von Victor Burgin, Ryan Gander, Friederike Hamann, Anna Leader und Uriel Orlow. Die Ausstellung wird am Freitag, 9. Juli, 18 - 21 Uhr eröffnet und läuft bis zum 18. September 2010. Vom 9. bis 30. August ist die Galerie geschlossen.
Die Gruppenausstellung spielt mit dem Wort "Hors d'Oeuvre" im Sinne des Werks außerhalb, vor, nach oder jenseits des Kunstwerks.
Gibt es, existiert ein Außerhalb des Kunstwerks? Welche Aufmerksamkeit fällt Vorstudien, Texten/Werken über das Werk und im Werk zu?
Die Ausstellung befragt den Status von Parergon und Kunstwerk. Sie umfasst Photographien, Wallpaper, Installationen, Zeichnungen und eine Zeitung.
Campagne Première is pleased to announce the group show "Hors d'Oeuvre". The exhibition will feature work by Victor Burgin, Ryan Gander, Friederike Hamann, Anna Leader, and Uriel Orlow. The exhibition will open with a reception on Friday, July 9 from 6-9pm and will be on view until September 18, 2010.
The gallery will be closed from 9 till 30 August.
The group exhibition is centred around wordplay with the expression "Hors d'Oeuvre", in the sense of the work before, beyond or outside of a work of art.
Is an outside of the work possible, does it exist? What kind of attention is given to preliminary efforts, to texts/works about and accompanying the "oeuvre"?
The exhibition revolves on the status of the parergon and the art work, featuring photography, wallpaper, installations, drawings and one newspaper.
